Subaru plans to electrify its entire vehicle line by the mid-2030s
Within 15 years, there will be no more only-gasoline-powered Subaru vehicles — the brand plans to phase them all out and replace them will electric vehicles by the mid-2030s, it recently revealed.
The change comes as emissions regulations grow more strict around the world, forcing many vehicle manufacturers to rethink how they’re going to sell products that move people.
Together, Toyota and Subaru will build an electric vehicle platform that will underpin the mobility vehicles of the near-future. The vehicles should debut sometime during the 2020s. By 2030, Subaru’s global sales should consist of more than 40-per-cent hybrid and electric vehicles.
