Federal initiative seeks proposals for funding for EV charging in MURBs, workplaces and for fleets

The request is part of the federal government’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program, and requires applicants match 50 per cent of funding, projects have minimum of 20 chargers

How does a Tesla Model 3 perform in an Arctic Circle winter?

To say that Tesla’s performance in extremely cold temperatures is a regular talking point among EV drivers (and those of us at Electrek) is a bit of an understatement. For example, Tesla Model Y prototypes were recently spotted cold-weather testing in Minnesota snow in January, and in December, Tesla started offering anti-ice window treatment after some winter issues.

Nikola Reveals Badger Electric Pickup Truck With 600-Mile Range

Nikola has just revealed its Badger electric pickup truck concept. With an estimated total range of 600 miles (a blended figure that includes the use of hydrogen) or 300 miles on battery alone, the Badger seems impressive. It zips from 0 to 60 MPH in 2.9 seconds. Reservations for the truck will open sometime in 2020 following its debut this September. No pricing information is available at this point in time.
